Also, when you are new to things, you can't just build things out of thin air, you need inspiration and help.
My first time was making myself stand on top of a building by watching a tutorial, I never went straight to this stuffs, also illustrator is better for this stuffs, but Photoshop is only an image manipulation tool, Anyways it is good for newbies!

Looks good for a beginner. And as Pikachu said, work more on the background. It's usually the background that catches peoples eye. Tekst is just a tekst what you edit to an certain degree, I'm not saying that you shouldn't pay attention to a tekst, but with the background you can do endless things, that's what i think. And yes i hope you're skills will exceed that of onsali.
