In order to use in-stream ads, your Page and content must comply with Facebook's Partner Monetization Policies, be at least 18 years old, and live in a country eligible for in-stream ads.

Eligibility requirements for video on-demand

To qualify, your Page must meet the following criteria:

Minimum 5,000 followers.

60,000 total minutes viewed in the last 60 days. This can include on-demand, live or previously live videos. This does not include minutes viewed from crossposted, boosted, or paid watch time.

Page has at least 5 active videos. Videos can be on-demand or previously live, but this does not include active crossposted videos.

Eligibility requirements for live videos

To qualify, your Page must meet the following criteria:

Minimum 10,000 followers.

600,000 total minutes viewed in the last 60 days with at least 60,000 minutes of the 600,000 total minutes must include minutes viewed from live videos.

Page has at least 5 active videos, including at least 3 previously live videos, that are created by you. This does not include active crossposted videos.

With in-stream ads on Facebook you can earn money by inserting ads into qualifying videos. Ads can be displayed during your live content – but only where and how you want them to, so you can earn money while providing a viewing experience with less disruption.

Choose your in-stream ad formats for on-demand video.

In-stream ads can play before, during or after your on-demand videos, whether you pre-record content or publish a recording of a previously live stream. When you choose auto-placements, Facebook’s auction system selects which ads appear in each video and dynamically serves them to each viewer. The number of ads a viewer sees will depend on how many ads the viewer has seen that day and the length of the video content.
