I want to create a viral website, which platform (Blogger or Wordpress) should I choose as beginner and why?

Blogger is a fine tuned service with very limited tools allowing you to perform only specific tasks on your website. The things you can do on your blogspot blog are limited, and there is no way you can extend them to meet a need.

Both has use same platform that is Open source PHP, blogger is from Google. Wordpress is manage and develop by Wordpress Community. Both has value, better flexibility, but wordpress has more features, more themes and more control.
