I can't believe I forgot to reply to this thread :O
I've seen the lily drone promo video quite a while ago and my first reaction was:
"That shit is the bomb!"
If I was a pro snowboarder or a hardcore rafter, this would be on my wishlist for sure! :D
As for the 'Phree' I've seen similar projects (one actually developed here in Belgium) but didn't really liked it that much :p
Since I was young I was a huge fan of the movie 'Back to the future' and I watched those movies like 10 times each at least, for sure the one with the hover-skateboard (also why I started skateboarding (did quit doing it since I almost broke my neck ones)) and up to this day I've been following every release of a possible real life application of this concept.
Sadly allot of those people promoting they had a solution for this where scammers or people trying to prank (even Tony Hawk once participated in this: HOVr Tony Hawk prank video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IROHyNaTA5Y)).
BUT ... there is one project that I noticed the past year that I do believe in (even donated €20,- too it).
That one would be made by HENDO (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/142464853/hendo-hoverboards-worlds-first-real-hoverboard).
The reason why I did so because what they say actually makes sense, I mean you must be stupid to think anything that hovers using magnetism would work anywhere ...
HENDO is currently still looking for funds so they can complete their first skateboard park where the board could/would work and could be used to it's full extend.
Please do enjoy the YouTube video:

The online funding has been stopped since they reached their threshold (even managed to get double the required amount, Tony Hawk helped them out also, understand the irony when he himself participated in a prank himself x'D).
Company's can still help them out if I'm not mistaken (only cities and things like that, do need to double check that) but funding from private parties no longer are needed ^^
But onsali20 keep that $$ and save it so you can ones go skating at their skatepark :D!
